Brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of children in the UK.
Sadly, only around 1% of research funding is spent on brain tumours.
Since 2019, a number of brain tumour charities have been campaigning for investment to increase to just £35million by 2025.
This isn't a lot of money but it is drastically needed. Only 12% of brain tumour patients survive beyond 5 years and this is one of the most disturbing impacts of so little funding.
Children are sadly subjected to invasive and painful treatments, such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy and often have to travel abroad for the best chance of beating their brain tumour.
During 2022 we will be working on a number of projects to improve lives of children with brain tumours. Check our social media pages or sign up to our newsletter for the latest updates.
